KPMG signs corporate agreement with KSU
This agreement aims to strengthen the existing relationship between the two organisations in a show of reciprocal support and a spirit of collaboration.
In January 2017, KPMG signed a corporate agreement with KSU. The agreement aims to strengthen the existing relationship between the two organisations in a show of reciprocal support and a spirit of collaboration. The KSU will benefit from financial assistance and advisory services for the duration of the agreement whilst KPMG will leverage KSU’s strong presence and student outreach on the University campus.
This agreement was the brainchild of Kersten Mallia and Ryan Farrugia, Advisor and Audit Senior respectively at KPMG, whose idea to partner with KSU was immediately endorsed by KPMG’s Leadership.
Pierre Portelli, Tax and Human Resources Partner at KPMG, stated ‘This agreement is the culmination of a concerted effort by all parties involved. Through KSU-organised events, social media platforms and print material, KPMG will be afforded the unique opportunity to promote its service offerings and also be present during University activities to connect with students who aspire to build a career with KPMG. We will work hand-in-hand with KSU to reach out to students and help them pave their career path by explaining career opportunities and progression within KPMG.’
Adrienne McCarthy, Head of Human Resources at KPMG commented, ‘This is a strategic partnership that marks a significant milestone within our business in becoming the “Clear Choice” when it comes to attracting the brightest talent in our local marketplace. We envisage that this initiative will help KPMG to be at the heart of students’ lives, where we will be present to discuss students’ personal and career aspirations pre- and post-University. We invite interested students to reach out and ask questions.’
Steph Dalli, KSU president commented “KSU is extremely excited about this new agreement that has finally found its conception. We are really looking forward to make the most out of this collaboration and expose all University students to all possible opportunities within KPMG.
We strongly believe that that we would be the perfect bridge between the students and the opportunities at KPMG, and will indeed strive to eliminate the misconceptions that it only interests accounting students.”
