Travel Ban and Quarantine lifted for the Regions
Travel Ban and Quarantine lifted for the Regions
The travel ban to/from certain regions in Italy, Spain, France and Poland and the mandatory quarantine for persons arriving therefrom has been lifted.
Further to the publication on 30 June 2020 of Legal Notice 280, the travel ban to/from certain regions in Italy, Spain, France and Poland has been lifted. The removal of Emilia Romagna, Lombardy and Piemonte (in Italy), Ile-de-France (in France), Madrid, Catalonia, Castilla-La Mancha, Castile and Leon (in Spain) and Katowice (in Poland) from the travel ban order means that as from 1st July 2020, travel to/from any part of Italy, France, Spain and Poland is allowed by the Maltese authorities.
Concurrently, Legal Notice 279 removed the requirement for persons arriving in Malta from the said regions to submit themselves to a 14-day quarantine period immediately upon their arrival.
