Extended deadline for voluntary repatriation assistance
Extended deadline for voluntary repatriation assistance
The deadline for applications for the voluntary repatriation scheme for foreign nationals has been extended until 10 May 2020.
The deadline for applications for the voluntary repatriation scheme for foreign nationals who wish to be repatriated to their home country has been extended until the 10 of May 2020 (formerly 19 of April). As announced earlier, the scheme applies also to EU and third country nationals who are in Malta for employment, education, family and other reasons. Such individuals are being asked to register their interest to utilise one of the repatriation flights. The flights will be subsidised by Government unless individuals do not turn up for a booked flight. A nominal fee applies on all bookings. A helpline (2204 2800) and a designated email address (repatriation.mfea@gov.mt) have also been set up to assist interested parties with their queries.
Should you have any queries or wish to discuss further, please send an email to covid@kpmg.com.mt.
