Deferral of Excise Duty Payments
A two-month deferral for the payment of excise duties falling due in April or May has been announced by the Maltese Customs Department.
The Maltese Customs Department announced that excise duty payments for commodities that are due in April/May 2020 will be deferred by two months as follows:
- Payments due on 15 and 26 April will be deferred to 15 and 28 June respectively; and
- Payments due on 15 and 31 May will be deferred to 15 and 26 July respectively.
