Deferral of Excise Duty Payments – LN Published
Further to the Customs’ notification of a two-month deferral for the payment of excise duties due in April/May, Legal Notice 147 has been published.
Further to the earlier notification by the Maltese Customs Department of a two-month deferral for the payment of excise duties falling due in April or May, Legal Notice 147 has been published which enacts such notification. The LN provides that excise duty on excise goods and services payable during the months of April and May 2020 according to the Excise Duty Act is payable 60 days later than the due date, but not later than 28 June and 26 July 2020 respectively.
