Our Risk and Compliance Consulting specialists help organizations to better understand risks and requirements related to their operations, assess the risk management system and internal controls in place, and develop effective control systems and measures for risk management and compliance.
We are currently looking for a strong addition to the team – a Senior Associate in Risk and Compliance Consulting – who would work with project execution, manage daily work within the project and support the management team in further business development. Role & Responsibilities
- Work on risk management and compliance engagements (incl., use of funds, corporate governance, fraud prevention and investigation, ESG, internal audit, AML and other engagements).
- Find the best solution for the client by performing in-depth information research and analysis (both qualitative and quantitative), preparing presentations and other materials, leading client interviews.
- Write reports under the guidance of the project manager and participate in the preparation of proposals for potential clients and the development of new service lines.
- Communicate independently with client representatives within the project.
- Work independently and in a team, and train junior colleagues within your competences, delegate tasks, review junior colleagues’ work and provide constructive feedback.
- Coordinate work in your area of responsibility, communicate and inform involved parties (colleagues, clients) about the progress, prioritize work in cooperation with senior colleagues.
- Continuously improve your expertise and keep up with current events in your field of activity, as well as develop awareness of KPMG’s services.

Education and experience
- You have at least 2 years’ experience working in the field of risk management or compliance, including internal audit and/or developing or evaluating internal controls.
- You have obtained a higher education in the field of finance, economics, business management or related field.
- Experience in project management will be considered an advantage.
Technical skills
- You have an in-depth understanding of risk management principles, internal controls, evaluating and ensuring the compliance of the company's operations.
- You are able to do analytical work with large amounts of data and documents, carry out research and write descriptive reports.
- You understand and are able to analyse the applicable legislative requirements and best practices.
- You are a proficient MS Office applications user (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- You are fluent in Latvian and English, both written and verbal.

- You possess good analytical and critical thinking skills.
- You pay attention to details and are able to work within tight deadlines in a demanding and competitive environment.
