Rainers has more than 15 years experience in providing audit, audit related and advisory services to clients in financial services industry. Rainers has a broad experience in the field of financial statements audits and regulatory requirements driven assurance engagements. He took part in a two year secondment programme in London focusing on audits of international financial institutions and hedge funds, thus broadening his outlook and professional experience. Contributing to his international experience Rainers has also participated in engagements in Estonia, Lithuania and Belarus. IFRS and financial instruments accounting are an area of expertise for Rainers contributing to his efforts in the KPMG Baltic wide IFRS expert group and activities related to external tutoring in various IFRS areas. During the years Rainers has had the opportunity to work with most banks in Latviaand dealing with a wide array of issues relevant to clients in the Latvian banking market.
