EU Directive 2019-1160 Transposition Update – Lithuania
The Directive (EU) 2019/1160 has entered into force in Lithuania without additional gold-plating following the adoption of various amending laws.
The language for the fulfilment of facilities services is to be in either Lithuanian or English. However, it is specified that investors should have the opportunity to file complaints in Lithuanian.
For UCITS funds, information published regarding the termination of marketing must be in Lithuanian.
The EU Directive 2019/1160 was transposed into Lithuanian law 2021-12-21. These amendments can be accessed on the appendix XIV-801 (only available in Lithuanian) for UCITS and in the appendix XIV-802 (only available in Lithuanian) for AIFs.
