Julien is a Director within the Tax Alternative Investments team, which encompasses private equity, private credit, infrastructure and real estate. He has experience in international tax advisory services for real estate & private debt clients on cross-border tax planning solutions, including coordination with clients and foreign tax advisers as well as lawyers and trust companies, and ensuring direct tax due diligence compliance. In addition, Julien worked for seven years on the preparation of the annual ALFI/KPMG Luxembourg private debt fund survey, which provides an outlook on the current private lending market trends in Luxembourg.

Areas of expertise

  • Setting up of regulated and unregulated real estate and debt funds.
  • Developing tax structuring strategies for real estate and debts investments, including infrastructure & logistics, as well as distressed debt, securitisation and loan origination.
  • Assistance with international tax structuring, acquisitions, mergers, and financing of investment vehicles.
  • Master's degree in business law, University of Liège, Belgium

  • Diploma in Luxembourg taxation from the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce.
