Data Engineering consultants are system architects specifically focused on the matter of BI, data warehousing, data integrations, data flow optimisation, data profiling. As part of KPMG Technology practice, you will work with other streams and business units on the internal and external projects related to system design and implementation, enterprise architecture assessment and target architecture design. The position assumes frequent cooperation with business and IT teams of our clients.
Requirements:
Completed university degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar technical or mathematical field
A combination of one or more of the following - proficient with programming languages like Python, R, Scala, Java, C++, C#; skills in data engineering technologies like Hadoop, HDFS, Spark, Elasticsearch; SQL and NoSQL databases
Experience in data, data science, data engineering and/or other technology related capabilities, like applying advanced analytical techniques to large and varied data sets, data marts and BI tools development
TOGAF certification will be a plus
Cloud and SOA architecture certifications will be a plus (e.g. MS Azure, AWS, Google, Oracle, SAP)
Evidence of track-records in something like:
Implementation of relational databases, NoSQL databases
Leveraging data visualization techniques and tools to effectively demonstrate patterns, outliers and exceptional conditions in the data
Development of BRD and functional specifications
Data warehousing consultancy, e.g. pre-sale activites, mentoring more junior team members, project management and presentations.
Responsibilities:
Build data science assets (aka ‘accelerators’), in line with our global strategy, to ensure we have the platforms and core assets in place to meet market demand. This could also include supporting our continuous improvement process around our own design and development processes e.g. about how we ensure the high quality that our clients require in an efficient manner
As a fast growing highly specialized team, you will be involved in the running and growing of our team, e.g. through coaching colleagues, helping with knowledge management
Support client engagements focused on data warehousing, data architecture assessment and design, data integrations
Work on marketing materials and client presentations
Position is opened in the cities of Almaty and Nur-Sultan (Kazakhstan).
