Since 8 June 2024, an amendment to the Order of the Acting Minister of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated 29 May 2020 No. 66 "On approval of the rules for the provision of public services in the field of state registration of legal entities and registration of branches and representative offices" has been put into effect.¹

According to the amendment, the list of grounds for making changes and additions to the registration data of a legal entity, branch (representative office) has been supplemented.

Thus, changes and additions to the registration data of a legal entity, branch (representative office) are made on the following grounds:

1. changing the location of a legal entity belonging to a private enterprise entity, a branch (representative office), with the exception of a joint-stock company, a branch (representative office);
2. change of the head (appointment of the head, appointment of the acting head, appointment of the manager of the property and activities of the legal entity, removal from the position of the head);
3. amendments and additions to the constituent documents, with the exception of amendments and additions to the constituent documents of a legal entity that is not related to a private enterprise entity, as well as a joint-stock company, regulations on their branches (representative offices);
4. transfer of the share of the charter capital to the trust management;
5. increase in the charter capital of business partnerships;
6. changing the main type of economic activity;
7. changing the composition of the founders (participants, members) of non-profit organizations, with the exception of political parties;
8. change of the beneficial owner of the legal entity.

Compared to the old version, the basis of changing the beneficial owner of a legal entity has been added.
