On 29 May 2023, the Republic of Kazakhstan ratified the agreement on cooperation of the CIS member states on the security and protection of copyright and related rights in information and telecommunication networks.
The document was signed at a meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Government on 12 November 2021 and is aimed at deepening cooperation in the field of copyright and related rights by improving legislation, creating measures to prevent and suppress violations, exchanging information, scientific research, as well as organizing seminars and conferences between the competent authorities of the CIS member states.
The document will allow to establish common approaches to solving problems arising in the field of protection and protection of intellectual rights in the digital environment.
