Dear readers,
On 23 February 2023, the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan adopted the Resolution on amending the Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan No. 13 “On some issues of implementing state support for investments”, dated 14 January 2016.
On the basis of this Resolution, the List of priority activities identified for the implementation of investment priority projects under investment agreements has been excluded in Kazakhstan.
Previously, agreements for the implementation of investment projects (investment agreements) were concluded in Kazakhstan for the types of activities that are indicated in the above mentioned List and that are not included in the list of prohibited types.
The exclusion of this List represents a new opportunity for potential large investors to implement various projects in Kazakhstan.
Potential investors can now choose any type of activity for their projects, unless such activity is indicated in the list of prohibited types of activities.
Therefore, the investment potential of the country has been increased while maintaining priority on the development of socially significant projects.
