On 1 January 2015 the Federal Law “On changes into separate legislative decrees of the Russian Federation” N 106-FZ, will come into force. The law amends accreditation procedures for branches and representative offices of foreign companies, as well as for their foreign personnel in Russia.

In particular, the law amends Article 13.2 of Federal Law “On the legal status of foreign citizens in the Russian Federation” dated 25 June 2002 N 115-FZ. Representative offices of foreign legal entities will be able to employ Highly-qualified employees (HQS). Previously, representative offices were prohibited to hire HQS.
