An overview of the HKEX’s consultation conclusions on Delisting and Other Rule Amendments
On 25 May 2018, the Hong Kong Stock Exchange (the Exchange) published the Consultation Conclusions on Delisting and Other Rule Amendments.
This Hong Kong Capital Markets Update provides an overview of the Consultation Conclusions as well as a summary of the key amendments to the Listing Rules.
The changes sought to address the issue of prolonged trading suspension of listed securities and were supported by the majority of market respondents. Consequently, the revised listing regime will come into effect on 1 August 2018.
