Outlook for e-commerce in Hong Kong
Outlook for e-commerce in Hong Kong
This report analyses the findings from a survey of CEOs and consumers in Hong Kong and Southern China on their views on e-commerce
The second annual Outlook for e-commerce in Hong Kong report surveyed 1,000 consumers – 500 in Hong Kong and mainland China, respectively – to understand their current and future shopping attitudes and habits. A separate survey of 162 CEOs in Hong Kong was conducted to gather their views on the opportunities and challenges to moving to e-commerce and omnichannel business models.
One of the key findings points to an increase in popularity of online shopping festivals, and their associated bargains and promotions. Meanwhile, a majority of surveyed CEOs intend to increase their investment in e-commerce in the next 12 months.
Improving customer experience, the growing influence of millennials, and adopting a digital strategy with technology as a key enabler are some other notable survey findings that are explored further in the report.
