This report provides an overview of China’s Cybersecurity Law, which was adopted in November 2016 and will come into effect on 1 June 2017.
The publication examines the key highlights, challenges and considerations of the Law, which focus on areas like personal information protection, critical information infrastructure, network operators, preservation of sensitive information, the certification of security products and legal liabilities. It also discusses the major amendments that were made to a previous draft version of the Cybersecurity Law.
