On August 3, 2026, the Korean Ministry of Economy and Finance (“MOFE”) announced the "2026 Tax Reform Proposal". This Tax Reform Proposal will undergo a legislative notice period until August 20, 2026 and it is expected to be submitted to the National Assembly for approval by September 3, 2026. The details of the respective tax law amendment proposal may be subject to changes during the legislative process, including review by the National Assembly which is expected to be finalized by the end of year.
