Erastus Maina

Erastus has worked in KPMG for 12 years. He has over 19 years of Advisory experience in the public and development sector providing services to clients including government ministries, departments and agencies, non-government organisations and donor aid agencies. His experience is in programme and portfolio management, grant/fund financial management, monitoring and evaluation, financial and programme reporting, institutional strengthening and capacity building, among others.

Erastus holds a Master of Science in Public Health from the University of London, and Master of Business Administration and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Nairobi. He is a qualified accountant and a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK).

Sandeep Main

Sandeep Main

Sandeep joined KPMG in 2010. He has over 13 years of professional experience in offering strategic tax planning and tax advisory services, tax dispute resolution and in assisting clients with general tax compliance. He champions the KPMG East Africa tax technology initiative which leverages technology to ease the compliance burden for clients. Sandeep also leads the KPMG Private Enterprise workstream which focusses on providing business solutions to MSME’s and family businesses.

Sandeep holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Oxfords Brookes University. He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) where he chairs the Advisory Board and leads the Public Policy Committee. He is also a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) where he is part of the training faculty. Sandeep was recently appointed as a member of the Tax Appeals Tribunal User Committee

Samwel Esupu

Samwel Esupu

Samwel joined KPMG in 2009. He has 14 years of professional experience in East Africa and on secondment in KPMG US where he worked in the Economic and Valuation Services department, Samwel supports clients on a wide range of tax matters including tax compliance, advisory, exemption processes, payroll taxes, refunds, transfer pricing, mergers and acquisitions, and tax reviews.

Samwel is a Fellow Certified Chartered Accountant (ACCA International) and a registered tax consultant with the Tanzania Revenue Authority. He is also a member of the ACCA Member Network Panel and assists the Association as a resource person in facilitating trainings for its members. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance from Mzumbe University, Tanzania.
