Roland is an Associate Director of KPMG International Development Advisory Services responsible for developing and managing the IDAS portfolio in West Africa. He has over 20 years of experience in banking, digital financial services, data analytics, FMCG and consulting.

Prior to joining KPMG, he was a Senior Associate with BFA where he worked on a number of projects that provided grant funding and technical assistance to fintechs and e-commerce businesses. At Cignifi, predictive data analytics firm, he worked on partnerships that leveraged alternative data sources to develop credit risk and marketing propensity scores to drive financial inclusion. He has held senior-level roles in personal banking, private banking and SME banking, products and segments, and bancassurance with Ecobank, Standard Chartered Bank and Stanbic Bank. Roland successfully completed British American Tobacco’s management training programme and Standard Bank’s senior management development programme.

Roland has expertise in development advisory, banking, product development, programme management, grants management, inclusive finance, capacity building, among others. His experience covers Cote d’Ivoire, Germany, Kenya, Liberia, Nigeria, Rwanda, Sierra Leone, Singapore, South Africa, Tanzania, The Gambia, Uganda, United Kingdom, United States of America, Zambia and Zimbabwe.
