KPMG米国の「Audit Committee Institute」では、毎年、世界35ヶ国以上の国及び地域において、監査役（または監査委員）に対するアンケート調査を実施しております。当調査は、監査役会（もしくは監査委員会）が、今後の対処すべき課題の検討や優先順位づけに役立つ情報提供することを目的にしています。
本年度は、取締役会のスキル、経歴および考え方の最適な構成を目的として、取締役が使っている方法や手段を理解するために、世界中の2,300人以上の取締役およびシニア・エグゼクティブに調査を実施しました。また6か国の取締役およびビジネス・リーダーに対するインタビューを通じて調査を行いました。
