Takahiro Shimato

After working for a major Japanese bank, he worked for more than 30 years consistently in the financial industry. He was the head of sales for financial institutions at a foreign software vendor, worked for wealth management at a foreign financial institution (Singapore and Tokyo), and was in charge of financial institutions at a consulting firm. He joined KPMG Consulting in 2017. He has been involved in a number of projects, including a large-scale ERP implementation project for a financial institution, a system integration project for a merger of a major financial institution, business process innovation related to business management and management accounting, and various financial regulations responses as a member of the steering committee. Recently, he has been involved in many digital-related projects such as RPA, AI, cashless, and open innovation. He is currently an Executive Partner and FS (Financial Services) Sector Leader at KPMG Consulting.
