Mr. Otani has been an engineer, solution sales, business transformation consultant, and client partner at a major global IT firm. He moved to KPMG in 2013. From 2016 for 3 years, he was an expat to KPMG U.S. to represent Japanese companies in North America, returning to Japan in 2019 to assume his current position. He leads service delivery for clients in the trading company sector, focusing on corporate function transformation, digital transformation (DX), human capital and organizational reform, cybersecurity, and corporate governance. Since 2020, he has also served as the Private Enterprise Sector Leader, developing services for startup companies and family businesses.
