Hatem Kawasmy has been the Managing Partner of KPMG in Jordan since 2009 and has built an instrumental role in building the office in Amman to a current headcount of around 300 professionals. He has an extensive 30 years of senior management experience and a solid background as a market strategic planner. Hatem has focused on attracting and building the client relations and leading the KPMG Advisory, Audit, and Tax business practice in Jordan. Through his experience in advisory services, assurance, and tax consultancy, Hatem gained the capability and expertise to advise commercial companies, non-profit organizations and governmental institutions on capacity building, institutional development, business improvement, and strengthening the financial management and internal controls, and taxation. Hatem has provided services to many local and international clients, spanning the whole services spectrum from external audit, internal audit, strategy planning and formation, feasibility studies, business planning, devising acquisition/disposal strategies for performing valuations and due diligence reviews, preparing information memoranda, to identifying and negotiating with potential investors. He is the former Chairman of the Arab Federation of Accountants and Auditors, a member of the Higher Commission on the Regulation of Accountancy Practice in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and a member of the Iraqi Oversight Board of KPMG Iraq.
