A day after the Union Home Ministry announced guidelines for 'Unlock 4', the Haryana government revoked an earlier order directing all shops and shopping malls, except those dealing in essential goods and services, to remain closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

In a tweet on Sunday, Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij said that the order had been revoked since the Unlock 4.0 guidelines released by the Centre on Saturday did not give states the right to impose a lockdown.

Travel between Kuwait and India under Vande Bharat Mission

Kuwait’s Directorate-General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has agreed to operate the flights starting from August 10 until October 24.

According to the DGCA approval, 1,000 Indians will leave Kuwait daily, to be flown equally by Kuwaiti and Indian airlines. The DGCA also stated that the arrangements proposed by the Indian side are limited to departure only and do not include their return to Kuwait.

The Madhya Pradesh government on Friday relaxed night curfews by two hours and partially lifted weekend lockdowns in coronavirus-affected districts of the state, an official said.

Night curfews will now be observed from 10 pm to 5 am as opposed to the earlier timing of 8 pm to 5 am, the official from the state public relations department said.

Weekend lockdowns have also been partially lifted in virus-affected districts, he said.

While the lockdown on Saturdays has been lifted completely, curbs will remain in place on Sundays, the official said, adding that an order to this effect will be issued shortly.

Finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday allowed loans for larger MSMEs and professionals for business purposes within the ambit of Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme (ECLGS).  The finance ministry has increased the annual turnover ceiling of companies that could avail loans under the scheme to ₹250 crore from ₹100 crore at present. The maximum amount of loans that can be availed under the scheme has also been increased to ₹10 crore from ₹5 crore.
