Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures

Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures

Date: 04 December 2020 | Time: 4:00 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. (IST)

As stakeholders increasingly acknowledge the threat of climate change to the stability of global financial systems, there is now a growing demand for information on climate-related risks that companies are likely to face during their transition to pathways of low-carbon development. The Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) was thus established to provide recommendations on how companies should disclose climate-related risks in their annual financial filings. As governments and companies globally embrace TCFD as a means to generate decision-useful, forward looking information on climate risks, it is not likely to be long before the Indian diaspora is called to do the same.

Given this backdrop, our webinar aims to demystify TCFD for you, by addressing:

  • What does TCFD adoption entail?
  • How is TCFD aligned with other non-financial disclosures?
  • How are global companies responding to these requirements?
  • What are Indian companies doing about it?

With insights from industry thought leaders who have already begun their TCFD journey and subject matter experts presenting latest developments in the space from around the world.
