2021 KIC Global Champions: Team Venezuela
The Global Finale of 2021 KPMG Ideation Challenge saw teams from 15 countries test their mettle, showcase their sterling ideas, and make a pitch for the coveted title of the ‘Global Champion’. National finalist teams presented advanced data analytics and AI powered solutions that would set in motion groundbreaking new ways of work. Team India continued to dominate the Global Championship for KPMG Ideation Challenge by securing a place in the Top 4 teams at the Global Finals. ‘Team Venezuela’ deservedly took home the title of the Global Champion and prize money of USD1000 per member.
2020 KIC Global Champions: Team India
The Global Finale of the 2020 KPMG Ideation Challenge saw teams from 18 countries test their mettle, showcase their sterling ideas, and make a pitch for the coveted title of the ‘Global Champion’ which could entitle them to an amount of USD50000. National finalist teams presented advanced data analytics and AI powered solutions that would set in motion groundbreaking new ways of work.
After two days of exciting presentations and grueling Q&A with the jury comprising senior KPMG Partners and Directors, the India team from IIT (ISM) Dhanbad was selected as the Global Champion. We are very proud of the team.
2019 KIC Global Champions: Team Canada
Out of more than 600 applicants, nine teams drawn from 65 premier universities across nine countries were selected to advance to the final Ideation Challenge hosted from 10 – 12 May in Amsterdam.
Participating teams represented Australia, Canada, China, Germany, Luxembourg, Italy, the Netherlands, U.K. and U.S.
Team ‘Paramount AI’ from University of Toronto, Canada was named the winner. Paramount AI's winning idea was a solution that aims to redefine the waste management industry, effectively combining AI and intelligent automation to solve the issue of rising landfills by automating waste segregation at the source. Paramount AI retained the intellectual property rights to take their solution to the market.
2018 KIC Global Champions: Team Germany
The Inaugural KPMG Ideation Challenge finals happened in Amsterdam, Netherlands. The two student finalist teams were: Team Tribe of Canada and Team ‘Smubi ID’ of Germany, who co-developed their innovative data-driven ideas into working prototypes alongside data and analytics and Augmented Reality experts. Smubi ID of Germany was declared the KIC 2018 winners! They worked on the idea of speech control and intelligent management technology solution for the hospital sector. They also got a chance to present their startup at KPMG's global data and analytics summit in Paris, France.
