The recent signing of the Investment Limited Partnership (Amendment) Bill 2020 reformed the 1994 Investment Limited Partnership Act, updating a number of the aspects of the pre-existing Irish regulated partnership regime which historically meant a regulated partnership was unsuitable for use as a fund vehicle of choice in most instances. Our recent webinar focussed on what the legislative change means in practice including:
- Overview of key legal and commercial changes brought about by the Bill, illustrating why an Investment Limited Partnership now represents a potential fund vehicle of choice;
- Regulatory view on the Investment Limited Partnership;
- Tax profile of the Investment Limited Partnership, including the types of investors, structures and strategies that it should be suitable for; and
- Operational considerations that will be relevant to Investment Limited Partnerships and service providers
