KPMG Restructuring Services help businesses and their stakeholders to conceptualize and implement strategic, operational and financial change. These changes are due to a constantly evolving business lifecycle, with businesses facing issues such as right sizing and structuring for growth, underperformance, shortage of liquidity and insolvency. Our Restructuring professionals are focused on helping underperforming businesses work through their issues so they can restore value and enhance financial operational performance for the long-term.

What you will do:

  • Helping the client in terms of  financial restructuring, operational restructuring including cost optimization and cost reduction strategies.
  • Helping the client with turnaround planning and exit planning as well as the implementation.
  • Providing cash and working capital management advise.
  • Providing advise related to insolvency problem, including work with creditors and the courts to help companies maximize available value.
  • Create an action plan for the pre and post financial restructuring process, along with contingency plans.

Desired skills & experience

  • Excellent academic background in fields related to Accounting, Finance or Business or equivalent.
  • Licensed CPA or CA would be advantageous.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem solving and presentation/report writing skills, combined with a good understanding of business dynamics and commercial value drivers.
  • Strong understanding of business drivers and their fundamentals, financial statements and cash flow forecasts.
  • Good financial analysis, business acumen and problem-solving skills, as well as basic understanding of credit and lending.
  • Highly motivated, committed, and flexible to cope with changing priorities and strict deadlines.
  • Intellectual mobility, inquisitiveness, comfortable developing answers and solutions when client requirement remains unclear or changes.
  • Ability to work in teams and to build effective working relationships internally and externally with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to execute project plans, manage multiple tasks, prioritize workloads, be resourceful and versatile.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and sound reporting skills in English.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Flexibility to adapt to a variety of different engagement types, working hours and work environments.
