In the Deal Strategy team, you will be working on some of the most complex and challenging issues facing our clients today. You’ll have the opportunity to offer strategic advice on business and operating models from both an organic and transaction perspective. It’s an exciting time to join this new group and help shape the direction and growth of the business as grow this team we accelerate momentum and growth in our priority sectors and with our key clients.
What you will do:
- Work as part of a team to address complex market, strategic, operational, and organizational issues.
- Design and execute financial analyses (including high level modelling capability) to support development of strategic insights (including consideration of market development, organizational options and responses, capacity/ capability-building requirements etc.)
- Conceive and undertake primary and secondary research to help clients assess the impact of the above on their organizations.
- Develop business cases and business plans underpinned by robust financial analysis in support of strategic initiatives.
- Lead work-stream and analysis on engagements and take responsibility for small teams when required.
- Contribute to the delivery and presentation of client deliverables.
- Work collaboratively with client staff and management, often working in joint teams in the development of and delivery of recommendations. Present findings to senior client management.
- Be involved in business development activity, showing initiative in building relationships with clients during engagements and while at client site.
- Contribute to thought leadership and knowledge management to support practice development. Design and execute financial analyses (including high level modeling) to support the development of strategic insights (including consideration of market developments, organizational options and responses, capacity / capability-building requirements etc.)
Desired skills & experience
- Minimum 6 years of experience, preferably with relevant experience in strategy, market entry assistance projects, commercial due diligence, and/or consulting experience in financial advisory firms/global consulting firms or investment banks or private equity fund
- Bachelor’s Degree from local or overseas University, Master is preferred.
- High proficiency in both verbal and written English is essential.
- Exceptional analytical, problem solving and presentation/report writing skills, combined with a good understanding of business dynamics and commercial value drivers.
- Highly motivated, committed, and flexible to cope with changing priorities and strict deadlines.
- Ability to drive through to an outcome and to gain stakeholder support in circumstances of complexity and ambiguity.
- Intellectual mobility, inquisitiveness, comfortable developing answers/solutions when client requirement remains unclear or changes.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills combined with sound commercial acumen.
- Ability to assess technical information to distil the key strategic insights and convey these succinctly and confidently orally and in written form.
- Ability to work independently and build effective working relationships internally and externally.
- Flexibility to adapt to a variety of different engagement types, working hours and work environments, and locations.
