Gergő is a certified economist (Msc.) graduated at the Corvinus University of Budapest focusing on risk management and corporate finance. He is a Hungarian tax expert registered by the Ministry of Finance, and a registered risk manager. Since graduating with a master's degree, he has been working in the financial and investment services sector. He joined KMPG as a member of the Financial Services business line in 2008, and he has been focusing on risk management and regulatory topics since 2015. He worked on several engagements supporting credit institutions, insurance companies or investment service providers. He has gained extensive experience in financial sector related projects, in particular CRR-CRD, MiFID2, EMIR, PRIIPs, Solvency II, MADII / MAR, Benchmark Regulation, Payments/PSD2, and due diligences. He works together with KPMG’s sustainability risk advisory team on green finance and its impact on credit institutions and investment service providers. Gergő regularly publishes and gives interviews on regulatory and risk management topics affecting the financial sector.
