Bálint joined KPMG in the summer of 2025. He is delighted to announce that he obtained his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from Eötvös Loránd University in 2022. Furthermore, he holds a Magister Legum (LL.M.) degree from the University of Göttingen. Most recently, in 2025, he completed a legal specialisation in Insurance Law (Biztosítási Szakjogász) at Eötvös Loránd University. During his university years, he had the privilege of serving as Secretary General of the Hungarian Board of the European Law Students’ Association (ELSA). He also actively participated in several moot court competitions, including the Willem C. Vis International Arbitration Moot, and was honoured to receive the Best Oralist award at the inaugural Moot Court Competition on the European Social Charter. Prior to joining KPMG, Bálint worked at a leading international law firm, where he was involved in high-profile finance transactions, regulatory matters, and insurance-related cases. At KPMG, he continues to advise on significant banking and finance transactional and regulatory matters. Additionally, he is proud to be part of the team establishing the firm’s Insurance Law practice group. He is also honoured to contribute articles on banking-related topics to Portfolio and CEE Legal Matters on a continous basis. In his professional work, Bálint strives to be straightforward, efficient, and highly professional, ensuring that his contributions are both insightful and impactful.
