After graduating from the University of Zagreb, Daniel joined KPMG London in 1995 where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1998. After spending his first three years in London with KPMG's Manufacturing, Retail and Distribution division, he transferred to the financial sector practice, also in London, where he was involved in a number of projects in co-operation with the Corporate Finance and Management Consulting practices. Daniel had been with KPMG Croatia in 2000 and has experience in numerous advisory projects in various industries in Croatia, Bosnia Herzegovina, Hungary, Macedonia, Montenegro, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia and Slovenia. Daniel is currently the partner responsible for all the services provided by KPMG Deal Advisory practice in Croatia. Daniel’s experience includes, inter alia, valuation, due diligence and valuation of merger synergies, as well as comprehensive advice on structuring transactions from an accounting, financial and tax perspective, advisory and support on entry into the Croatian market and investment restructuring.Daniel has extensive experience in M​​&A transactions, where his experience has included providing full sell-side support to the Croatian Government in the process of selling a majority share during the privatisation of Croatia Osiguranje, the largest insurance company in Croatia, and many others. He has also led numerous independent business review and restructuring projects in various sectors. Daniel is currently the partner responsible for the Deal Advisory practice in Croatia and Bosnia Herzegovina, which he started in 2003. Daniel was the National Senior Partner of KPMG in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina from July 2014 until October 2017. Daniel has been the Head of private Equity for KPMG in Central and Eastern Europe since 2007. Currently he is also Head of Deal Advisory for KPMG in Central and Eastern Europe.
