On Friday 21 October, KPMG volunteers participated in the Ocean Conservancy's International Coastal Cleanup Campaign 2022 and in coordination with HELMEPA the volunteers cleaned Edem Beach in Paleo Faliro, collecting a large amount of garbage and recyclables (a total of 40 kg of waste and 5 kg of recyclable materials ). 

KPMG Greece is participating in the Global Climate Response initiative, involving the annual collection of Sustainable Development data from selected countries - members of KPMG across the world. These figures relate to the consumption of energy, water, heating oil, paper, calculation of scope 1, 2, 3 carbon emissions, air travel, kilometers covered by company cars, etc. The purpose of the initiative is for KPMG members to commit towards reducing their environmental footprint resolving local challenges and cooperating with their clients in order to promote environmental sustainability.

Since 2014, KPMG has introduced the one day symbolic cessation of the use of printers in its offices on the International Day of Forests on the 21st of March. This initiative aims at raising awareness for the environment with the reduction of the paper consumption.

Soil contamination from non-recycled batteries has catastrophic effects. Every year KPMG rewards the employee who will bring in the most batteries for recycling with eco-friendly prizes!
