This survey is based on the international survey Being the best: Inside the intelligent finance function, reflects responses from 264 CFOs or finance executives of medium-to-large companies with 25 percent of revenue over $1 billion.

Todays leaders' finance functions continue to work hard to boost their relevance and value added to the business, they are shifting their focus outward to those financial management activities that contribute the most to better business decisions that improve the bottom line.

The findings of our Africa survey are that African firms differ significantly from their global counterparts in respect of centralised vs decentralised operations but on average both African and Global respondents do not foresee any major changes in their operating models.
