KPMG celebrates International Accounting Day

From 1 November 2022 to 10 November 2022 we held our first “International Accounting Day” celebrations, where our Accounting and Advisory Services team rolled out a series of activities to celebrate accountants and bring awareness to the various service lines provided by the Unit and KPMG as a whole.

It was a 10 day celebration which was climaxed on 10 November 2022 (The International Accounting Day).  The week consisted of the team visiting Labone Secondary School and Accra Girls Secondary School to impart knowledge and encourage students to take up the accounting profession.  The sessions were extremely insightful, and the students and teachers appreciated the firm making time to educate them on the accounting profession.

In addition, internally the team organised virtual knowledge-sharing sessions, shared fun accounting facts and organised an interactive quiz aimed at sharing knowledge and creating awareness. The week was finally crowned off with a cake cutting ceremony at Marlin House.  ​​​​​​​

It was an eventful week and we look forward to more initiatives from the team! ​​​​​​​
