We continued to invest in our people’s wellbeing, training and growing ESG capabilities.
KPMG Oy Ab’s Annual Report, Transparency and Sustainability Reports for the financial year ended September 2023 have been published today. Despite the continued uncertainty in our operating environment, the past financial year was a record year for us. We achieved growth in all functions and maintained our position as the largest Big 4 company. Altogether, there are more than 1 800 of us at KPMG in Finland and Estonia, and we are among 100 biggest employers in Finland. We continued to invest in our people’s wellbeing and training as well as growing ESG capabilities throughout our organization.
We are committed to building an increasingly more sustainable KPMG and have advanced our own ESG commitments through Our Impact Plan during the financial year 2023. An important milestone for us was finalizing our local Double Materiality Assessment evaluation, to better understand our most material impacts and engage with our stakeholders on matters related to sustainability.
We have paid particular attention to mental wellbeing and coping at work as well as Inclusion, Diversity and Equity by continuing to train our Performance Managers and enhancing their leadership competencies. Our people also participated in many learning sessions covering a wide range of ESG topics, aiming to upskill everyone’s ESG capabilities.
Throughout the financial year we took a deep dive into the world of circular economy. Circular economy was the theme of our annual KPMG Strategy Forum in September 2023. KPMG Finland also became the Circular Transition Indicator (CTI) Implementation Partner, trained by the World Business Council for Sustainable Development in 2023. In addition, our circularity experts conducted a CTI circularity analysis on our own operations.
