On November 12, 21 national winners delivered their final pitches to a panel of four distinguished judges at the Web Summit in Lisbon, Portugal. Japan’s Rhinoflux was named the 2025 KPMG Global Tech Innovator winner, recognized for its breakthrough technology that unlocks biomass to generate clean energy at significantly reduced cost. Ireland’s Akara, developers of advanced AI sensors, robotics, and analytics for surgical applications, earned the first runner-up position and India’s StepOut, a pioneering sports performance and analytics startup, was awarded second runner-up.
