Ahmed has over than 21 years of experience specialized in insurance, banking and financial institutions audits. He has served in a senior capacity in providing audit and advisory services to a number of financial services clients. He works with large-scale institutions and clients, at both national and group level, in the analysis and improvement of accounting standards, governance frameworks and controls.

Professional and Industry Experience

  • Ahmed has overall responsibility for managing the audit and is also responsible for most other aspects of the engagement including overseeing the resolution of technical accounting issues, managing client service expectations, liaising with executive management and resource management.
  • Having had a progressive management career with KPMG. Ahmed area of experience includes Local GAAP and IFRS for banks, insurance companies and financial institutions.
  • Employs a motivational and inclusive leadership style to manage a high-performing, cross-functional team of directors, senior managers, supervisors and auditors. This includes talent management and succession planning.
  • Bachelor of Commerce Accounting Section, Cairo University.

  • Fellow of the Egyptian Society of Accountants and Auditors (ESAA).

  • Fellow of the Egyptian Tax Society (ETS).

  • Holder of the Diploma in the International Financial Reporting (Dip.IFRS).
