KPMG in the Crown Dependencies announces promotions across the business - May 2021
KPMG in the Crown Dependencies is pleased to announce a number of promotions across the audit, tax and advisory teams in its offices in the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey.
Multiple promotions have been awarded across the firm as it continues to build on its successful launch as KPMG in the Crown Dependencies, since the firms in the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey merged earlier in the year, to form one of the largest professional services businesses across the three islands.
The audit team sees eight promotions:
In the Jersey office, Mark Flores and Dag Pandan have both been promoted to Senior Audit Manager. In addition, Christine Lim and Chloe Hammond are promoted to Assistant Managers.
In the Isle of Man office, Adam Creamore, Ngina Kalinga, Ahmed Khan and Umer Arif Khan have all been promoted to Audit Manager.
Dermot Dempsey, Head of Audit for the Crown Dependencies, commented “I wish to take this opportunity to congratulate all of the audit team members on their promotions and wish them the best in their new roles. As we continue to build on the success of the new Crown Dependencies firm, I expect to see many more promotions announced in the near future at all levels.”
The tax team sees six promotions:
Justine Howard, based in the Isle of Man office, has been promoted to Associate Director and her promotion reflects her wealth of Private Client experience. Also in the Isle of Man office, Sophie McCallum’s promotion to Associate Manager reflects how quickly she has fitted in at KPMG and her importance within the ever-busy VAT team, after almost exactly a year with the firm. In addition, Kayleigh Dawson’s promotion to Tax Consultant recognises both her continued development and her progress in her professional studies.
In Guernsey, Matthew Thomas has been promoted to Senior Manager, shifting his focus to international and corporate tax advisory services, particularly in the funds area.
Also in the Guernsey office, Joseph Milward’s rapid progression to Associate Manager is testament to his contribution to the tax practice, particularly in the Family Office and Private Client space.
Sophie McGranahan, based in Jersey, has been promoted to Manager and she has played a key role helping to manage Jersey’s corporate tax clients and working on operational tax matters.
John Riva, Head of Tax for the Crown Dependencies, commented “This series of mid-year promotions are first and foremost fantastic and well deserved achievements for each individual but in addition, they will position the firm well to pursue, achieve and service the growth we are seeking as part of one Crown Dependencies firm.”
In the advisory team, Peter Verschueren has been promoted to Data & Analytics Manager. Based in the Isle of Man, Peter’s new role will see him taking on greater responsibility for data related engagements across a wide portfolio of clients
In Jersey, Sam Allen is transferring from audit to join the advisory team as Associate Manager, focusing on deal advisory services.
Russell Kelly, Head of Advisory for the Crown Dependencies firm, commented “It is always a pleasure to announce promotions within our team and I wish to congratulate Peter and Sam on their achievements. I look forward to seeing them both develop in their new roles.”
