Over 80 people joined a charity quiz held at Woodbourne House, in aid of local charity Isle Listen, and raised £2,371 from entry fees and raffle ticket sales on the night.

21 teams entered the ‘Quiz of the Nations’, with questions themed around the world, set to challenge the brains and general knowledge of the quiz teams. In typical pub-quiz style, the event was held in good fun and teams battled it out to win the top prize of a trophy and a bottle of prosecco for each team member. The winning team was from Zedra and included Richard Mulhern, Nita MacDonald, Juan Brown and Sian Wilkins.

The event was organised by KPMG in the Isle of Man, which has chosen Isle Listen as its staff-nominated charity. Isle Listen is a charitable initiative whose aim is to equip people on the Isle of Man with the self-management skills needed to navigate the challenges of 21st century life.

The event was generously supported with kind donations to Isle Listen and for the raffle from Bridgewater, Claremont Hotel, Equiom, June Herridge, M&P Legal, Oak Group, Ocorian, Shoprite, Sure, Utopia and Winedown.

Kristan King, Head of the CSR team and Partner at KPMG Isle of Man, commented, “The event was a lot of fun and my thanks go to those that entered teams, the generous sponsors who donated prizes for the raffle and also to the team at KPMG, who gave up their time to make the event such a success.”

Annabel Chambers, Project Lead at Isle Listen, commented, “We’re very grateful to KPMG Isle of Man for organising such a great evening, which we know was thoroughly enjoyed by all those that took part. The proceeds from the evening help towards enabling us to continue to provide our vital training and support around mental health and wellbeing in the island’s schools, workplace and wider community. Our aim is to help people recognise the importance of mental health being treated with equal importance to physical health.”
