Elaine is highly experienced and well respected within the Island’s compliance community. In May 2015 she became a fellow of the International Compliance Association, after 9 years of membership with the Association.

Elaine joined the Isle of Man Financial Services Authority as a Manager in their banking supervision team at the height of the financial crisis in 2008 where she spent 8 years supervising a wide range of Isle of Man license holders ranging from multi-national banks, to small local foreign exchange bureaus and payment service providers.  Elaine continues to enjoy an excellent ongoing working relationship with both the local regulator and Financial Intelligence Unit.

She also has 20 years’ experience working in a wide range of roles within the Barclays group, primarily within the Isle of Man, but also Guernsey.   Prior to joining KPMG, Elaine acted as Head of Risk and Compliance for a private banking group formerly based on the Island where she was instrumental in providing the risk and compliance direction for winding down the local operation.

During her career she has played an active part in the Isle of Man Bankers’ Association meetings both during her time at the regulator and also within industry where she sat on the AML/CFT working group.

During her time with KPMG, Elaine has led a number of regulatory gap analysis, internal audit, buy/sell side regulatory due diligence, anti-money laundering and corporate governance projects for banks, corporate and trust service providers, insurance and e-gaming companies.
