Dermot joined KPMG in the Channel Islands in 2003 as an assistant manager and was promoted to Audit Director in 2008 and then Audit Partner in 2013. In October 2020 Dermot was appointed the Head of Audit, and then appointed as Senior Partner of KPMG in the Crown dependencies in April 2024.

Dermot is the lead audit partner for several London listed funds, including FTSE 250 funds. He also leads the audit and assurance services for a number of large private debt funds in Guernsey including infrastructure debt vehicles, corporate debt funds and funds pursuing strategies involving exposure to a variety of securitised assets and distressed debt.
