KPMG has partnered with EBS University of Business and Law to develop an exclusive ESG expert training programme for its auditors and consultants in Germany and the EMA region. The training programme is part of the US$1.5 billion ESG initiative announced last year by Bill Thomas, KPMG's Global Chairman.

The comprehensive ESG training programme focuses on key environmental, social and governance issues and how they relate to corporate strategies and business models, as well as analysis of the new ESG disclosure requirements and their importance in shaping a sustainable future.

The course is available to employees in the 105 countries of the EMA region and offers a fully digital learning environment. The video-based modules allow learners to customise their ESG education regardless of location and time. The "KPMG & EBS University ESG Expert Training" is designed to combine the respective practical knowledge of KPMG's ESG leaders with the insights of renowned international academic experts.

The individual learning modules consist of expert interviews, academic lectures and detailed learning material. The training is complemented by case studies and an advanced curriculum for selected ESG services. Prof. Dr. Rolf Tilmes, Academic Director of EBS Executive School, emphasises: "This innovative training format comprehensively covers all relevant aspects for the transition to a more sustainable economy.

Upon successful completion of the training programme, KPMG employees receive the title "ESG Expert (EBS)", which is awarded by EBS University, one of the leading private business universities in Germany.
