My role as Head of Tax within Country Practice Spain consists of helping German companies pave the way for their investments in Spain and South America and being available as a central point of contact.
I have many years of experience in advising investment by German companies in these regions. This includes advising on acquisitions and negotiating company sales contracts as well as structuring the establishment of local subsidiaries, assisting with the posting of employees and the monitoring of ongoing business operations.
I can rely on the strong and extensive network in these regions, which I was able to build on the basis of my second position on KPMG Madrid 2009 and in the exercise of my role as Head of the Iberoamerica M&A Tax Center of Excellence from 2007 to 2012. This gives me the security to find the best KPMG contact for our customers in the Spanish and South American corridor.
In communicating with Spain and South America, not only are language barriers and time differences to be bridged, but also the country-specific peculiarities need to be known in order to ensure smooth intercultural cooperation. Not least because my wife is a Spaniard, this intercultural bridging belongs to my everyday life.
