We see it as our duty to establish a programme of continuous improvement in our environmental performance in all business areas and at all locations."

Our environmental policy states:

To this end, we adhere to the following principles:

1. Our environmental performance should always improve. We consciously manage all the ecological impacts of our business activities and provide the necessary information and resources for this purpose. This naturally includes being fully aware of all binding obligations that apply to us and always complying with them.
2. KPMG wants to contribute to the decarbonisation of the economy and to limiting the global rise in temperature. We pursue a consistent avoidance and reduction of our greenhouse gas emissions and also focus on purchasing sustainable and climate-friendly products and services. We review our environmental performance and publish the results regularly.
3. KPMG strives to apply best and innovative practices in environmental and climate issues and to play a leading role in developing innovative solutions in our industry.
4. We encourage our employees to act in an environmentally and climate friendly manner, and we also work with our suppliers to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in our supply chain. To enable our clients to optimise their environmental impact as well, we offer them professional and sustainable advisory and auditing services.
5. The Executive Board of KPMG in Germany regularly reviews how well we are implementing this policy and meeting the targets we have set ourselves.
