The Cyprus Tax Department informs all legal entities and their representatives that the bilateral Competent Authority Arrangement (CAA) for the exchange of Country-by-Country (CbC Reports) between Cyprus and the United States of America which is currently under negotiation, is expected to be effective for Reporting Fiscal Years starting on or after 1 January 2021.  Consequently, in the case where the Ultimate Parent Entity of a Multinational Group of Enterprises (MNE) is tax resident in the United States of America, the secondary filing mechanism should be triggered for Reporting Fiscal Years starting on or after 1 January 2020 and before 1 January 2021.

Το Τμήμα Φορολογίας πληροφορεί όλα τα νομικά πρόσωπα και τους αντιπροσώπους τους ότι η διμερής Συμφωνία Αρμόδιας Αρχής για την ανταλλαγή εκθέσεων ανά χώρα (CbC reports) μεταξύ της Κύπρου και των Ηνωμένων Πολιτειών της Αμερικής, η οποία βρίσκεται επί του παρόντος υπό διαπραγμάτευση, αναμένεται να τεθεί σε ισχύει για τα οικονομικά έτη αναφοράς  που αρχίζουν την ή μετά την 1η Ιανουαρίου 2021. Ως εκ τούτου, στην περίπτωση οπού η τελική μητρική οντότητα ενός ομίλου Πολυεθνικού Επιχειρήσεων είναι φορολογικός κάτοικος στις Ηνωμένες Πολιτείες της Αμερικής, δημιουργείται υποχρέωση υποβολής έκθεσης ανά χώρα στο Τμήμα Φορολογίας (secondary filing obligation) για τα οικονομικά έτη που ξεκινούν από ή και την 1η Ιανουαρίου 2020 και πριν από την 1η Ιανουαρίου 2021.
