Amyn Pirani

Amyn is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan since 1993 and a partner since July 2004. With experience of more than 40 years in audits and related services, he is responsible for the control, supervision and finalization of statutory audits, group reportings, etc. of various large local and multinational organizations, operating in diversified sectors in accordance with IFRSs and Local Regulations. In addition, his reporting responsibilities also include reportings to other KPMG offices in respect of the multinational organizations. Reporting's generally are in accordance with IFRSs and the group reporting instructions. Amyn earlier was also the training partner of KPMG Pakistan and was responsible for the training of professional staff of the firm on various topics including KPMG Audit Methodology, IFRSs, etc.

In addition, as an audit partner, he also has extensive experience auditing entities across various sectors, including financial institutions, the service industry, shipping and logistics, oil and gas (covering both marketing and refining operations), and manufacturing.

He also acted as the engagement partner for the issuance of Global Depository Receipts (GDR) by a major bank in Pakistan. He is well conversant with the corporate and tax laws, regulatory environment and framework, etc. He has assisted and advised the clients on several matters including professional opinions on Accounting, establishment of Internal Controls, etc.

Additionally, Amyn has also been involved in the engagements relating to the review of accounting and costing systems, reporting on internal controls over financial reporting, financial due diligences, review of the treasury related operations and manuals, etc.
