Inam Kakra

Inam Kakra serves as the Head of Audit Quality Partner, bringing extensive expertise as the Head of Energy and Natural Resources, IT Audit Business Leader, and Lead Partner for the Audit Resources Capability Hub and Mobility.

Inam Kakra is a seasoned partner at KPMG Pakistan with nearly two decades of experience in auditing, assurance, and advisory services, specializing in Energy & Natural Resources (ENR). He has a deep understanding of accounting, risk, and financial reporting issues within the ENR and infrastructure sectors.

Inam has led high-profile audits for major local and global ENR clients, including Pakistan’s largest oil and gas exploration companies and several large power generation projects. His expertise covers IFRS implementation, US GAAP to IFRS conversions, and project finance, with a focus on debt monitoring, financial close, and regulatory compliance. He has also led engagements providing services for offerings in international capital markets, including London and Singapore.

As Head of Audit Quality for KPMG Pakistan, Inam has spearheaded transformative initiatives to elevate audit quality, including the implementation of the System of Quality Management and the Global Audit Quality Transformation Plan. He has overseen portfolio rationalization, audit price corrections, and other quality initiatives, advocating for reforms to uphold professional integrity and public trust in the audit profession in Pakistan.

Inam is also lead partner for KPMG Pakistan’s Audit Resource Capability Hub (ARCH) and is working to expand the export of trained audit professionals across the KPMG network.

Outside of his professional career, Inam is passionate about hiking and trekking in the beautiful mountains of Pakistan, embracing nature’s challenges and tranquility. He also enjoys traveling with his family, balancing his leadership role with personal interests.
