The Client

Our client is a market leader of its sector  with over 3,000 workforce in Mainland China. With the growing number of senior executives based in Mainland China, it seeks to recruit a mature and experienced HR leader for the Corporate office in Shanghai. Suitable candidates should be from the corporate office of non local companies, preferably Fortune 500, China's Top Employer awardees. 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the HR teams in Shanghai and other cities on wide range of HR initiative  including but not limited to manpower planning, recruitment and talent management, employee relations and HR business partnership
  • Design, review and integrate existing HR policies, and develops and implements new initiatives, especially on employer branding, statutory compliance and talent development
  • Develop pragmatic HR strategy and best practise and lead the implementation with collaboration with business leaders for Mainland China
  • Oversee the strategy on  identification, succession and talent management process including Hi-potential and structured learning and skills development programme for different grades.

Requirements:

  • Degree holder or above, with at least 15 years’ HR generalist experience with world class and reputable organisations, recognised by market as leaders on HR practise
  • Recent experience should be at corporate HR head/deputy HR level with solid exposure on HR policies development and overall employer proposition development
  • People manager, is pragmatic and works well with business leaders
  • Resourceful, proven ability to design and implement workable solutions on employer branding and talent management
  • Open-minded to new ideas, good leadership, communication, planning and problem-solving skills. Strong advisory and influencing skills.
  • Strong communication and good presentation skills in English and Chinese
  • In-depth knowledge of China employment laws and data privacy practices.
